Report on 'Padavukal', a Programme by SPC Team.
REPORT OF PADAVUKAL PROGRAM HELD ON 19/10/2020
The
fifteenth class under Padavukal program was held on 19th October 2020.
The class felt the presence of IG P Vijayan IPS, Mohammed Shafi along
with O.R.C Project Officer Saif, SPC Pioneer Amrutha and three gifted
personalities- Ayisha S, Lulu A and Saanvi.
Shafi
Sir and Vijayan Sir introduced the day's personalities. Ayisha came
first in the recent NEET exam conducted by N T A followed by Lulu A who
came in the second position. Saanvi is a 11 year old energetic girl who
reached out to Asia book of Records by cooking 33 dishes in just one
hour! Vijayan Sir also emphasized the importance of participating in
cocurricular activities along with academics. Parents should always
encourage such activities and try to identify their passion and promote
them.
The Class started
with Aisha. She completed her Secondary Level education in a government
school. She wished to be a doctor from an early age and had immense
respect for the profession. She was determined enough to go for repeat
after her first attempt at NEET promised her a good mark but not a MBBS
Seat. She wanted to improve her rank and Marks to get into a Government
Medical collage .
Lulu
too faced similar hurdles in her jorney. Many questioned her as to why
waste a year. But She was resolved to go for it. She went for proper
coaching and came back sucessfull.
It
is a common belief that completing our higher secondary level education
in a Government School is not going to yield us a good rank. But both
Aisha and Lulu had proven them wrong. They had received immense
support from their teachers in Schools which helped them during their
journey.
Saanvi
is totally a vibrant energetic girl who has suceesfully made her way
into Asia Book of Records by Cooking 33 dishes in just 1 hour. Her
happiness was undescribable and dreams unlimited. She used to get
curious whenever her uncle or mother cooked Something in the kitchen.
Like those many who have uncovered their talents in this pandemic
period, Saanvi too had started Cooking in this lockdown. Her family had
supported throughout. Cooking is a risky job for a 11 year old. But her
parents encouraged her to cook and provided her with safety equipments.
Her mother is also a great cook and has been a great support for her.
Besides Cooking, her hobbies include horse riding and Bharathanatyam.
Lulu
also explained about NEET exam and its pattern. NCERT textbooks are
preffered for NEET preparation. They also shared us with us their
startagies for NEET Preparation. Aisha used to wake up at 4 every
morning and followed a strict timetable for considering time management
for each subject. She used to practise by attending a mock test daily
and had given more than 100 mock test over the lockdown period which
boosted up her confidence. Lulu too followed similar stratagies to get
to her dream. They are highly inpirational. Rising from 85,000 and
60,000(rank) to few among the firsts is not as easy as it is said. Their
hardwork had payed off.
'If i can cook, you can cook too' ,Saanvi said her final words as the program came to a beautiful end.
Carolin
teacher(ACPO) from Our School got the unique oppurtunity to present the
vote of thanks. CPO Vinukumaran Nair and Cadets Aadhya Ajai, Parvathi P
nair and Salma S from our School also participated in the meeting.
