'Writing, Reading and Creativity' - Talk Series by Literary Club. Talk by K S Ratheesh.

The dream project of the literary club of our school has finally come to the stage. A talk series intended to conduct creative conversations with Malayalam writers on the title ‘ Writing, Reading and Creativity” has been on backwork for the last few months. For the first session of the talk series, we had invited Mr. K S Ratheesh sir, who is a well known writer in Malayalam. Because of the pandemic situation, the interaction was on google meet platform.

On 12 August 2020, by 7 pm K S Ratheesh sir addressed the literature lovers of Cotton Hill. The talk was based on the aspects and relevance of reading, writing and being creative in life. The session started with an introductory talk of Mr. K S Ratheesh. He discussed his views on the topic in a vibrant, intellectual and simple manner for the next 30 minutes. His style of conveyance and simplicity of presentation attracted the audience. Then he responded to the queries of the audience. The Blog Committee members had also asked questions on behalf of the literary club members. The question hour lasted for about 50 minutes and it has been a memorable experience for all the viewers.

The writer loved to share with us his thoughts, experiences, and memories. Above all, he loved to say what writing means to him. The answers from Mr. K S Ratheesh has shaken the aspiring writers as it shared a spectacular view on the art of writing. He also managed to say his opinion on matters of public interest. He explained the possibilities, limitations and adversities awaiting for an aspiring writer. He managed to share his writing strategies too.

From the beginning itself the talk had turned into a friendly conversation without even the slightest formality. It was the highlight all along. Despite the intellectual inner meanings of his words, we could also find a simple and straight personality who enjoys success and defeat with the same smile. The program had the blessings hands of our Principal, Teachers, SMC members and literature lovers. The programme ended by 8 30, and it remains a golden feather on the hat of our school literature club.

Congratulations to all the active hands behind this wonderful event.
